Board of Officers

A Message from the President

ONWARD (AND UPWARD) WE GO!!!

On Saturday, February 27, 2010, FtP’s Board of Officers and Volunteer Coordinator, Jeanne Lloyd, attended a Strategic Planning Session to discuss plans to move FtP forward. The meeting was very productive. It began with a discussion of where we would like to see FtP in the future and where we are currently. We developed both short term and long term goals. A goal without actions is just a dream. So, more importantly we developed strategies and actions to help us get there.

One thing became evident. FtP’s future is dependent on our volunteers, donors, and subscribers. We cannot survive without you, our life blood! We, the Board, cannot do it all ourselves. We need you, our volunteers! Many of the Board Members realize that they need to form committees to address the needs of the organization. So, you may be getting a phone call or e-mail from one or more of the Board Members to ask you to serve on a committee or to help us accomplish a task. Some of these tasks are not long term commitments but may require some help and support. My hope is that we will all rise to occasion. Some of the committees might require a little more time and effort but the ultimate goal is to see FtP move into the future.

Two of our biggest opportunities are fund raising and finding corporate sponsors. You may see several upcoming events that will help FtP raise money. Please spread the word and support these efforts. If any of you are in a position to approach your organization with the concept of becoming a corporate sponsor, please let us know. You don’t get a “no” unless you ask.

FtP remains committed to providing our community good quality theatre for all ages. The only way that we will be able to do this is to find viable funding whether that is through donations, sponsors, or grants. Bottom line….FtP needs support if we are to move onward and upward.

The other extremely evident factor that arose from the Strategic Meeting is that we all love this organization and want to see it succeed. The Board is passionate about making this goal a reality. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our members, donors, and subscribers for their ongoing support. I am certain that you will join us for this journey onward and upward!

Sincerely,
Scott
