Towne Singers are a fun loving group of singers and actors who like to spend
time together and perform! The group was formed in 2000 as the brain-child of
Tony DeRosa and has taken on several incarnations since that time. Tony
continued to perform with the group, but Lois Jarman took over as
leader/coordinator. During her leadership, The SINGERS have performed for civic
organizations, nursing homes, assisted Living groups, The Frederick Keys,
Frederick First Night celebrations, and even took a trip to
From fall of 2004 through present, the group has continued its mission of performing for civic organizations, nursing homes, assisted living groups, etc, but has also been seen performing for Frederick First Saturday Walks in Everedy Square, as an opening group for Way Off Broadway dinner theatre’s production of Oklahoma! , entertaining for Anniversary Parties, Holiday events, the Frederick Builder’s Association and can be seen in the lobby performing during the Opening Night of FTP’s productions. The
SINGERS love to perform and will do so for a minimum tax deductible donation to
the Fredericktowne Players of $150 for 20-30 minutes up to $300 for an hour. A
portion of their proceeds goes towards the scholarship fund which awards one
Senior at each High School in

doubt about it, singing with this group is FUN! However, there's more to
it than that. It is a most pleasurable way to give back to the arts
community. I'm proud of the fundraising we do for FTP, especially our
