Towne Singers

Do you tap your foot in time with the construction noises outside your window? Do you whistle a happy tune on the subway until your fellow passengers threaten to throw you onto the third rail? Do you have an irresistible urge to sing along with ring tones? Well, have we got the place for you.

The Towne Singers of FTP are coming out of hibernation this spring and they're looking for people just like you. People with music AND rhythm. People who can't walk past a stage without feeling a sharp, tugging sensation in their feet. People who, when life hands them lemons, immediately start singing the "Lemon Tree" song. Are you one of these people? Then join us! We understand! We'll love you! And together, we'll make beautiful music...

The Towne Singers are looking for new members to join us this winter and spring. We sing a wide repertoire of pop, standards, and show tunes in solos and small groups to recorded accompaniment. No auditions required, just a love of music and a desire to share it with the world. We'll provide you with music, rehearsal tapes, performance opportunities, approval, encouragement, and the occasional baked good.

We'll be setting up a new rehearsal schedule and picking repertoire in January, 2012. If you'd like to jump aboard this train before it leaves the station, please send your particulars to Anne Raugh, who will be coordinating this happy endeavor:
